  • In my experience working on AI, ML, and GenAI experiments in the financial technology context, the most difficult challenge to overcome is providing the human end user with an evidence package that fully explains how and why the AI/ML/GenAI agent came to its conclusion.

Especially in the lending space, bankers have been unwilling to implement models they cannot fully explain to their regulators. There has to be a level of certainty that the borrower is a good risk when committing to lending money. Makes sense, right?

It seems to me that the Israeli military is being less conservative in their use of AI in life and death situations than banks are being in using the same technologies in lending money. This is a serious problem.

I strongly believe AI technologies will fully transform the way humanity interacts with machines, but this should be a cautionary tale for all militaries and companies looking to implement solutions with AI. We need to be able to explain what these agents are doing before we turn over too much of the decision-making responsibilities to machines.

Israel built an ‘AI factory’ for war. It unleashed it in Gaza.

  • When you look at Caleb’s performance as a rookie quarterback, it should give every Bears fan hope for the future. This assumes, of course, that the McCaskey family is tired of losing. Papa Bear has to be rolling in his grave knowing his daughter and grand children have turned his Monsters of the Midway into the laughing stock of the NFL.

Caleb has every right to demand more from the team that is expecting him to be the savior of the franchise.

  • Well, this is completely insane and amazing all at the same time. It’s like science fiction, but it is freaking real. If we can fly a spacecraft 3.9 million miles from a star, we can do anything.

    Seriously, everything is possible!

  • It seems like this shouldn’t even be a thing. I have to take compliance courses every year about gifts, bribes, and corruption, but yet here we are reading about corporations openly bribing the future president.

Regardless of party, this just should not be something that happens.

  • It is incredibly important for the health and safety of all Americans and citizens of the world that our health leaders are critical, skeptical, and questioning of the information they consume. That is what we should expect of scientists in charge of our most important agencies. That should be the bare minimum.

The more important skills for these leaders are reasoning and judgment. That is where Dr. Weldon’s history indicates that he falls short. Let’s hope for all of our sakes that the senators responsible for confirmation have these skills in abundance.

  • After seeing the mix of incompetent, unqualified, and, in some cases, dangerous people Trump plans to put in charge of government agencies, I would not have left my son’s fate in their hands either.

  • It’s time for the Bears to bring in the Joe Maddon of NFL coaches. They already have their Jon Lester in Caleb Williams. They have the pieces in place. It’s time to go big and spend big on a coach that put all of these moving parts together. Let’s go Bears!
