It’s been an up and down season for my Chicago Cubs, and while not technically eliminated from the playoffs, the Cubs would need to go 8-0 the rest of the way while the Diamondbacks, Mets, or Braves experience an epic collapse.
On the bright side, the team will likely end the season with more wins than losses, and the last game is a classic Wrigley Field afternoon game starting at 2:20.
It brings back great memories of the businessman specials back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. There’s nothing quite like the smell of a packed Red Line L train from the Loop to Wrigleyville in the hot summer months. Great times!

It’s these types of plays that makes me so hopeful for successful Cubs teams over the next several years. The kids can play!

I know professional sports teams are businesses above all else, but it sure is hard to lose players like Tim Parker. He is an absolute beast on defense and will serve New England very well.

Looks like Coach Kerr should have let a bunch of hungry college all stars scare the 2024 team like Coach Daly did to the Dream Team back in 1992! There’s nothing quite like getting completely smoked in a game that you’re expected to win to get your attention.

In this young Cubs season, Shota Imanaga has delivered big time. His pitching has been very creative, and I really enjoy watching his approach and attitude while he’s on the mound. Let’s hope these are signs of great things to come.
