It is absolutely unacceptable to give in to disgusting and clearly racist politicians hell-bent on taking us back two or three generations in thinking. We need to expect more from our university leaders and politicians. Someone needs to be strong enough to say no!
Stories like this help remind me that businesses can make a positive difference and do amazing things when they are actually owned and run by actual humans. When you do right by your employees and customers, success is sure to follow.
It’s Day 2 of Media Literacy Week! What events are you going to attend today?
I am grateful to the 22 Republicans that voted against Jordan for Speaker of the House. That leaves just 199 representatives with seriously questionable decision making skills including my own representative. It’s a start, though.
The House cannot possibly elect Jordan as Speaker. He is unworthy of the responsibility inherent in the position 2nd in line to the presidency for all Americans. He has done nothing in his legislative career to prove he is any kind of leader. Who’s next?
The Chicago Bears radio broadcast is almost unlistenable with Tom Thayer as the color commentator. Of course, I understand how disappointing the Bears are and have been for some time, but Thayer’s constant negativity makes this even worse.
Need a great example of a passionate former player broadcasting for a struggling team, go back and listen to replays of the great Ron Santo. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and you could feel his heart break when things weren’t going well for the Cubs, but you never felt negativity like the kind that flows from Thayer’s mouth.
It’s time for a change.
