While I was mowing the grass in my backyard today, I took pause to admire how the breeze made my lawn look like images and videos I had seen of the great prairies of the Midwest. Then I realized that my grass must be unacceptably long to blow in the wind like that, and I went about completing the task at hand.

Why in the world would the police be pointing their weapons at protestors as if they were suspects of an active violent crime? What happens when an officer accidentally discharges his weapon? Absolute chaos. Then what?

I really don’t understand why there needed to be separate rallies in Ferguson today. Peace and justice do not pick sides, and justice must be served to have peace.
