July is over, and it’s time to look back and see how I did on my self-imposed one-post-a-day challenge. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite get there in July, but I did post thirteen times. That’s six more posts than I’ve ever posted in one month so I’m going to claim a small victory. I am going to continue the challenge again in August and every month after that until I get this right.  Then we’ll move to two posts a day!

I’d like to thank everyone that sent messages of encouragement in July. Keep on me if I start slacking again. Check back soon!

Well, it’s finally come down to this. I have been trying to motivate myself to write more in my blog about everything that is going on around me, but my posts continue to be few and far between. Now I am putting my intentions out here for all to see. I plan to write at least 31 posts in July. That’s one post a day, and I’m already a few days behind. Now, I may not post every single day, but I expect myself to have added 31 new posts by the end of the month. The reason I’m writing this is so people out there can keep me honest. If you see me slipping, send me a comment and let me know about it. I’m going to need your help to make this happen. Maybe by the end of the month, I will have hit my groove with this writing thing. Wish me luck!

Okay, I was a Lego super freak when I was a kid. I’d fill my entire room with buildings, cars, and trucks. My brother, Jeff, and I had a pretty cool deal where I would do the building, and he would do the playing. It worked out pretty well because he didn’t want to build, and I didn’t want to play.

Anyway, I saw the coolest thing ever on Digg tonight. Lego is making and selling a 5,000 piece Millennium Falcon set. How sweet would it be to walk into a room and see a three foot Millennium Falcon hanging from the ceiling? All I have to do now is figure out how in the world I’m going to get my hands on one of these things.

Okay, it’s time to vent a bit. I have spent many hours in the last two days pulling weeds and grass from the flower beds around the house that we rent. They just keep coming back with a vengeance. One of the biggest problems I have is that the area around the plants is bare soil. There is no mulch or wood chips to block out the sun to stop the weeds from coming back. Anyway, I’m blogging now because I can barely grip the weeds to pull them out. I think it’s time to go out and get a cultivator and go to town on these bad boys. No more Mr. Niceguy! Okay, I feel better now.

Well hello there everybody! It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I wanted to let you know about changes I’ve been making to my website. I’ve decided to make my blog the centerpiece of the site so it is more visible to the rest of the world. One of these days, I’m going to get serious about writing something everyday, and this reorganization helps make those writings more visible.

I have also added a new email subscription feature for my blog feed. You can click on the Email Subscription link in the sidebar of my blog or simply click here.

I’m excited about these new features, and I hope you like them too. There will be more changes to come as I incorporate some of the web’s latest capabilities into my site.

Thanks for stopping by!

Okay, I’m sure many of you will think I’m a little wacky to be so excited about this, but I have some fantastic news to report.

We have finally found our camera!

Now that we’re back in business, we’ll be taking lots of new pictures, and I promise to post them as soon as I can. Stay tuned for new images.

For those of you who thought that I had fallen off the face of the Earth . . . I’m back! Yes, it’s been a month and a half since the last time I posted anything to my blog, and it’s been even longer since I posted anything new on my podcast, but at long last, the drought is over. Things have been pretty busy since the move, and we’re still working on finding all of our things. That includes our camera so unfortunately, there are no new pictures to share with everyone. Don’t worry, though. We’ve dedicated ourselves to finding that camera and taking a bazillion pictures. Now that the weather is coming around, we should be able to take some great shots of the ocean from the end of our street. I’ll post some new pictures as soon as I can. Keep in touch with me by using the contact page on my site, and I promise to keep the site more up to date. Until next time . .

Hi everybody! I have been working on the website today, and there are several updates that I think you’ll like. There are some new videos of Kyah’s choir concert as well as new Flash slideshows for all of the photo albums. I have also created a podcast to share some old recordings from bands I’ve played with over the years as well as new content that the kids create. You can subscribe to the podcast using a program like iTunes or other podcast-enabled program. The address for the feed is https://www.timprobst.com/podcast/files/timprobstspodcast.rss. I hope you enjoy the new content, and definitely let me know if you have any comments.
